Welcome to the North Raleigh/Wakefield area as featured by Talk of Your Towne! We are excited that you’ve stopped by to visit and are interested in learning what’s going on in and around “Your Towne!”  Although the 27614 area is made up of a couple of larger award winning communities including Wakefield and Bedford at Falls River, each community has its own small town look and feel.  Not to say these are the only two communities in this area as this section of North Raleigh spans from Capital Blvd west to Creedmoor Road and covers everything in between while wrapping around Falls Lake. 

Some of the attraction to this area has been that the Wakefield Community is the largest residential and commercial development ever built in North Carolina.  It is home to the Hale Irwin designed PGA Tour, 18-hole TPC golf course, which is the only one in the area and also, one of only 23 in the country! The area is highly recognized for its beautiful and natural landscape that utilizes rolling hills, trees and fairways to tie together many unique neighborhoods as well as businesses including Wakefield Commons.  Bedford is another beautiful community and has earned a long list of awards. In fact, Where to Retire magazine named the community on  the America’s 100 Best Master-Planned Community list for the second time.  Bedford has an abundance of parks and greenways and 26 miles of tree-lined sidewalks, you can easily see how it encourages community interaction with a small-town appeal. 

Anyone living in this North Raleigh/Wakefield area realizes that with the new I-540 just minutes away, the area provides easy access to many locations including RTP, the RDU Airport, Cary, Chapel Hill and Wake Forest.  You’re also just a few miles north of the 1.3 million square foot Triangle Town Center Mall with over 150 of the most popular restaurants and retailers.

This spectacular area has emerged to become “Towns within a Town” with special attention to providing for the needs of its residents.  You’ll find everything from shopping to entertainment as well as healthcare providers, in addition to many more extraordinary amenities.  What’s more is the amazing array of local businesses, social and recreational activities that you’ll find in your area.
