It all began right out of college when Bob started working in accounting as an Assistant Controller with a small local business in San Diego, California. Spending close to nine years there, he gained valuable experience in accounting, finance, growth, and expansion while playing an instrumental role in taking the company from 12 fitness centers to well over 340 when he left to persue other avenues! That company sold for over $1.6 billion in 2005. From there, he took his experience and applied it to other industries including hospitality, service, nutrition, manufacturing and distribution, in an effort to gain more knowledge. At this point, Bob found his calling: creating and growing businesses. You see, Bob had started and owned numerous businesses right from when he was a teenager.  The career that followed included many executive positions from CFO, COO, VP and CEO, all the while focusing on business development. After spending 16 years as a corporate executive, he decided it was time to go out on his own. Bob brought his family, experience, and creativity to the Raleigh area in 2005 and he and his wife, Lena, started The Talk of Your Towne shortly thereafter.
