Q: Can I subscribe to the TOYT?

A: You cannot subscribe to TOYT right now. It is a free publication distributed to targeted sub-divisions via direct mail and available in many retail stores including restaurants, professional offices, hotels, coffee houses, libraries and many other business locations.

Q: How long has the TOYT been around?

A: The TOYT idea was conceived in 2005 and actually brought to life with its first publication mailed out in September 2006.  It has grown to cover Franklin County and a large area of Wake County with continued growth in many towns in and around Wake County.

Q: Is the TOYT associated with other publications?

A: No, the TOYT is unique and stands by itself.  Although there are some “flyer type” items that are the same color they are not associated with the TOYT.  We are local and have created TOYT from the very beginning just like many of your businesses.

Q: How often is TOYT published and how is it distributed?

A: A new issue is produced and distributed each and every month in two ways.  First, it is a direct mail piece sent to targeted subdivisions that meet specific criteria.  Second, the publications are available in many retail locations including restaurants, professional offices, hotels, coffee houses, libraries and many other business locations.  With the display boxes being filled weekly our intention has always been to provide some light fun reading material that might help lighten the day and help put some smiles on the faces of those who read it.  The TOYT is seen and viewed by many people throughout the course of a day, seven days a week! Q: What is your current distribution/readership?

A: Currently, our total monthly distribution is over 65,000 which includes both direct mail (which is the bulk of what we do) and retail display locations.  Because of our unique distribution system we actually distribute to well over 125,000 different homes, including retail display locations, over a three month period.  Some publications mention “Readership” or “Reaching” which means they produce only so many copies but expect more than one person to read each publication.  In some cases they expect 3-5 people to read it and use that number as an estimated “Readership” or a “Reaching” number.  It’s Important to know just how many copies are being produced.  We know that more than one person will normally read the TOYT and actually most of the entire family will look through it; however, we will not give you a misleading or unsupported number of actual publications being distributed. 

We have had many requests to receive the TOYT in areas outside of our distribution zones because people are sharing it with many other people.  We have also heard from many business owners stating their customers brought in the TOYT and told them they need to advertise with us.

Q: Does TOYT offer Exclusivity for my business?

A: Yes!  At TOYT we believe your marketing needs to work for “YOU”.  Don’t be lured into believing running your ad next to your competitor is a good thing.  The only one who wins is the better coupon/deal being offered and in most cases you have just wasted your money.  TOYT publication offers exclusivity to all display advertisers in their category so your marketing works the best it can for you.  Have you ever ran an ad thinking you’re the only one in your category only to see the publication had 2 or 3 of your competitors right next to your ad?  Normally you find this out “after” the publication is distributed.  At TOYT publication we stand behind our exclusive listings to protect you and your investment.  We actually have a waiting list for businesses that want that exclusive listing but have found out they already have been blocked out!  Don’t let that happen to you, contact us today for availability to secure your exclusive spot!

Q: How do I advertise in TOYT?

Q: How much does it cost to place a display ad in TOTY?

A: Advertising and marketing in TOYT publication is less expensive than other print media. Since our focus is local businesses we have set up our entire publication so the local businessperson can afford to advertise on a regular basis. We offer many different ad sizes, formats, and marketing packages including front page write ups and advertorials to fit your needs. We currently produce twelve different publications each and every month and you can choose how many publications to put your advertising in - one, two, three, or all of the publications we have. Of course, our publications EXCLUSIVITY protects your business by “locking out” your competition. As you can see, there are a few variables to determine pricing and availability including multiple zone discounts.  We would be happy to discuss your needs and show you the low costs associated with your marketing/advertising plan.

Q: Do you offer assistance with ad design?

A: If you already have properly sized camera-ready art and no changes are needed – Great! In that case there are no additional costs to you. 

If you do not have an ad, that is no problem as we have designers who will create an outstanding piece for your business with your input and approval.  There is a one-time set up fee for this service and it is based on the size of the ad you need created.  This includes any monthly changes needed, please see “Can I change an ad as I need to?” question below.

Q: Do people keep the TOYT?

A: It has always been our intention for the display boxes that people would see the publication, pick it up and tuck it under their arm to bring home to read.  This idea has come full circle with many of our contractors telling us that when they go into people’s homes to do work they see the TOYT sitting on the coffee table – just where we want it!!

Q: Can I change my ad from time to time?

A: Yes, you can change your ad on a monthly basis if you need to. If we created and designed your ad there will never be any additional fees to “tweak” it month to month.  If you have created your ad we ask that you send us a new ad before our deadline for the next publication.  Just call, e-mail, or fax your changes to us before our next publication deadline.  However, we recommend your ad run for a period of time to get the exposure it needs and see the results before you change things too quickly.  We believe your advertising should be flexible and change when you need it for coupons, pictures or seasonal changes.  This does not include redesigning the entire ad from month to month.

Q: How do I get a listing or an ad on the TOYT Website?

A: Our website is designed to enhance and compliment the print advertising display ad you currently have with the TOYT.    

Of course you can just advertise on the website if you choose.  For marketing on the TOYT website we offer business listings, ads of various sizes, banners on key pages, coupons, 60 word write-ups and more! It is important to us to get you the exposure your business needs including links back to your website so people can get more information about your business.
